Montessori Teacher required for small Montessori based in Malahide , mornings for 3-4 hours, Monday-Friday, term time. Must be available to start late August.

Candidate must hold a recognised qualification in Montessori education (minimum level 6 in Early childhood studies) and Montessori.
Two years experience desirable.
Candidate must be able to manage a room, help develop and implement the curriculum and keep daily records.
Good understanding of the National framework of Aistear and Siolta. certificate in first aid and manual handling desirable.
Garda vetting will be required.

Early Years Service Deputy Manager (Blanchardstown)

Tigers Childcare are looking to recruit a deputy manager (maternity cover) in this exciting time of growth within the company!

We are looking for experienced, Deputy Manager to join our team of childcare professionals at our full-day care service based in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Job Role: To be the Deputy Manager and senior member of the childcare team working. Combining the practitioner role with the management role and to take responsibility for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained at the service. To work in close co-operation with the Manager and staff team

Duties & Responsibilities: Day to day will be outlined in more detail upon application – a brief outline of duties/responsibilities is listed below:

  • To report to the Manager
  • To act as Designated Person in charge in the absence of the Manager
  • Be responsible, in consultation with the Manager for recruitment, management, training, motivation and performance of all staff.
  • Ensure a dynamic emergent curriculum is delivered to meet the individual needs of children attending
  • Monitor and ensure that all agreed quality and safety standards are maintained always
  • Monitor day-to-day financial transactions
  • Monitor all child protection issues; parents’ issues; complaints, near-misses, incidents and accidents to ensure that any necessary remedial action is taken immediately.
  • Ensure all issues and actions are recorded. Report Child Protection concerns to the Tulsa Social Work Team using the Children First Guidelines.
  • Carry out the role in the absence of the Manager as Designated Person in Charge & Designated Child Protection person for the service.
  • Support the Manager to develop the service to its full potential ensuring that all opportunities in sourcing additional funding are enabled and applications completed in a timely manner.
  • Keep up to date on matters relating to early childhood care and education generally, i.e. media/emails, networking etc.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain professional working relationships with all external agencies, including TUSLA and the Early Intervention Team
  • Review and monitor occupancy levels, to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity levels in line with service ethos and objectives and to ensure financial sustainability.
  • To ensure the building is maintained to a high level of hygiene
  • To be available to the Early Years inspector if an inspection takes place and to ensure all appropriate information is supplied during an inspection.

Candidate Requirements: Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in a senior role, preferably within a full day care service.
  • Minimum qualification of Fetac Level 6 is essential, candidates with Level 7/8 qualification are preferred.
  • Candidates with LINC qualification preferred.
  • Candidates must provide proof of qualifications and 2 x written references at time of interview.
  • Candidates details will be submitted for Garda vetting.
  • Candidates who have lived outside of Ireland for 6+ months must provide international police clearance.
