Our Staff provide advice and assistance to existing and potential Childcare providers, to Childminders and those thinking of Childminding, and to parents, on all childcare issues for children between the ages of 0 and 14.

The team are available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Adrienne Doyle

Operations Manager

Adrienne is working with the Fingal County Childcare Committee since 2008. She has a BA (Hons) in Community Studies and an MA in Child, Family and Community Studies with over 14 years’ experience in the childcare sector. Adrienne who previously was the Development Officer for Dublin 15 is now the FCCC Operations Manager. Adrienne recognises and understands the issues arising for parents and providers in the sector and endeavours to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the vast range of knowledge and experience of the team in Fingal CCC can be channelled in a helpful, supportive and efficient way. Adrienne participates in a number of national forums to advocate for the children, parents and providers in the Fingal area and beyond.

Gina Daly

Programme Information Officer

Gina joined the FCCC team in October 2008 as Office Administrator. She now holds the post of Programme Information Officer, while continuing to provide administration support to the FCCC Development Team. Gina informs Childcare Practitioners of updates of the Government Funded Programmes. She is also responsible for revising FCCC Facebook and ensuring that the FCCC website is updated.

Aoife Ball

AIM Project Officer and Ukrainian Support Contact

Aoife joined Fingal County Childcare Committee in September 2022. Aoife has a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Care and Education and a HDIP in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care) with 20 years’ experience working frontline in the capacity of project worker and team leader within the early years sector and social care services. As the AIM Project Officer, Aoife, will have responsibility for coordination of training including engaging trainers, suitable venues, and materials, coordination of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Training and other AIM training as the need arises, dissemination of information pertaining to the AIM model to parents, providers, and other relevant stakeholders as necessary, work with FCCC Development Officers on follow up supports for providers and parents in relation to AIM, working with the Better Start AIM Team to ensure there is a wraparound suite of supports for parents and providers in the Fingal Area, build the capacity of the Early Childhood Care and Education Sector and enhance and develop quality services for children and their families, the development of comprehensive supports around the AIM Process, infrastructure, and services where the holistic well-being of children and families are fundamental, reporting monthly to the Board of FCCC through the Operations Manager. Aoife is also the contact on the FCCC team for Ukrainian parents and providers that may need support and guidance around accessing early year's services within the Fingal region.

Eimear Furlong

Development Officer (Balbriggan and surrounding areas)

Eimear joined the Fingal County Childcare Committee in March 2021. Eimear has over thirteen years’ experience working in the Early Years sector. She has worked in a wide variety of roles including Early Years educator & service manager in the Community sector and as an Early Years Quality Mentor. Eimear will be the contact for all early years settings on these days in the following areas: Balbriggan, Ballyboughal, Balscadden, Garristown, St. Margaret's, The Ward, Oldtown, Naul, Skerries, Loughshinney, Rush, Lusk and Donabate. This also includes Parent & Toddler Groups, notified Tusla Childminders, Afterschools and Parents.

Karen Comiskey

Development Officer (Core Funding Support Lead)

Karen Comiskey is working with Fingal County Childcare Committee since May 2023 as a Development Officer (Core Funding Support Lead). She has a BA (HONS) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and has worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Karen has experience in a diverse number of roles including Creche Owner/Manager, Large SAC & Creche Manager, and Early years Tutor on QQI level 6 Early Childhood Studies.

Mairéad Tucker

Development Officer (Swords & Surrounding areas)

Mairéad has worked with the Fingal County Childcare Committee since 2005, previously Mairéad worked in a community early years setting in Dublin’s inner city for 11 years. Mairéad works closely with Early Years settings within Fingal, administering the government childcare funding programmes. The job also involves supporting services with regard Tusla Regulations, DES & Pobal compliance visits, delivering Siolta and Aistear training and workshops, supporting providers in relation to the AIM and Better Start. Mairéad will now be the contact for all early years setting in the following areas: Baldoyle, Balgriffin, Bayside, Howth, Sutton, Portmarnock, Malahide, Kinsealy & Swords. This also includes Parent & Toddler Groups, notified Tusla Childminders, Afterschools and Parents.

Nicola McKernan

Development Officer (Dublin 15 and surrounding areas)

Nicola McKernan is working with the Fingal County Childcare Committee since July 2017. She has a BA (Hons) in Early Childcare Care and Education and has over 24 years’ experience in the childcare sector both as an accredited trainer and provider. Nicola works closely with early settings in Fingal, administering the government childcare funding programmes. The job also involves supporting services with regard Tusla Regulations, DES & Pobal Compliance visits, delivering Siolta/Aistear training and supporting providers in relation to AIM and Better Start. Sarah McKenna

Childminding Development Officer (CMDO)

Sarah McKenna is working with Fingal County Childcare since October 2019. She has a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and has worked in the Early years sector for over 8 years in a diverse number of roles including an Early years educator, service manager and an Early years tutor delivering a range of QQI level 5 and 6 courses. Sarah’s role in Fingal CCC is the Childminding Development officer (CMDO). Sarah also supports a cluster of CCC’s in the Dublin area including South Dublin CCC, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown CCC, Dublin City CCC and Wicklow CCC. Sarah is part of a team of 6 CMDO’s working nationally. The CMDO’s role is to support each CCC in their cluster area with actions within the National Childminding Action Plan and specifically support the Development Officers in their support role with the childminders.

Linda Sammon

Finance Officer

Linda joined the Fingal County Childcare Committee in April 2011. Linda worked in Finance for over 12 years before joining the team. As the Financial Officer Linda is responsible for all aspects of financial management, returns and budget related issues including compliance and monitoring with the Fingal County Childcare Committee. Linda also oversees the running and administration of the Learner Fund for the Fingal area, working closely with learners, their employers and training providers.

Helen Campbell

Finance/Office Manager

Helen is an experienced professional in the area of management including financial and human resource management. Her experience includes leading and managing staff in a number of Multi-National Companies prior to joining FCCC in September 2002. She has qualifications in Management, Accounting and many years’ experience leading and managing teams of people. Helen was the first staff member of FCCC and she was instrumental in the setup of FCCC. As a member of the management team she contributes to the strategic and compliance obligations of the FCCC. As the Finance and Office Manager she is responsible for organising, supervising and co-ordinating office operations and procedures and all financial duties to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency and funding compliance. She works closely with the Operations Manager in preparation of budgets and financial management.
